The series ‘To the West’ was inspired by the movie "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs" (2018) from the Coen brothers. It pictures some of the iconic, very visual scenes, painted with a chalk rendering, in three thematic colors. The grains of chalk give a peculiar texture and mood to the scenes that form a triptych.
