David Bordereau (Bodawei) is a French digital artist. After a career in the industry in Asia, he decided to follow his passion, learn digital painting and start his own adventure as freelance artist in Shanghai, China.

David’s artworks revolve around several recurring themes such as exoticism, travel, adventure, Shanghai, feminine figures and dance. His inspiration and ‘mentors’ are painters such as John Singer Sargent and Richard Schmid for the ‘traditional’ side of painting, as well as Craig Mullins for the digital approach and techniques.

Some of his illustrations and portraits are currently displayed at the DG ArtSpace Gallery in Shanghai.
